Aubrey Arnason

Advisory Board Member

Aubrey Arnason is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and director of Icelandic lineage known for emotionally rich storytelling, sharp humor, and compelling performances. She won the Leo Award for Best Direction in a Television Movie for her directorial debut, A Love to Remember, and her work has premiered on Lifetime, Amazon, Hulu, and Peacock.

As a writer-director, Aubrey's films have earned recognition at festivals internationally, including Best Romance at the Hollywood Best Indie Film Festival and Best Romantic Comedy at Indie Short Fest for I Don't. She has directed over 70 episodes of television, received 13 Leo Award nominations, and won multiple industry honors.

Aubrey is a recipient of the Bell Media Fellowship and the Women In View 2X More Award, and is an NSI Totally TV Alum, Vancouver Film School graduate, and Crazy8s Alum. She also hosts the DGC podcast Talking to Actors, where she explores the art of directing performances. Drawing on her Scandinavian heritage, Aubrey brings a distinctive blend of heart, humor, and humanity to every story she tells.
